Murray Creek Dairy Farm is a 413.5 ha (1,021 acre) property in Southland, 6km from Lumsden. Murray Creek was purchased and syndicated in 2008 and is the second dairy farm offered by Roger Dickie in the Southland region and provided a rare opportunity for investors to participate, not only in the New Zealand dairy industry, but also to indirectly own a share of an investment in tangible assets, prime dairy land and plant. Following purchase a significant development programme was undertaken including instillation of a centre pivot irrigation system and shed improvement as well as additional staff housing and lane and pasture improvements. Murray Creek Dairy Farm Ltd owns the farm and the herd. The farm is managed by a variable order sharemilker.
