This forest is privately owned
Mangawehi Forest is the 89th forest established by Roger Dickie (N.Z.) Ltd. and is made up of two separate properties.
Tutira Forest is located on State Highway 2 some 42 Kms from Napier city and port. The forest was planted in 1999 with high grade Pinus Radiata seedlings and has a net stocked area of 206.3 ha
Mangawehi Forest is located on Tiniroto Road 47 kms from Gisborne city and port and was planted in July 2012 with high grade Pinus Radiata seedlings and has an estimated net stocked area of 435.3 ha
The combined Mangawehi Tutira forest has a total planted area of 641.6 hectares.
