Bushmills Forest was the 67th forest established by Roger Dickie (NZ) Ltd.
The forest is located on Waitara Road just 2 km off the main Napier – Taupo highway, 54 km from the city and port of Napier and 46 km from the Pan Pac Mill at Whirinaki.
When purchased in 2000 the property already had 152 ha of five and six year old trees and further 266.4 hectares were planted in 2000 giving a total planted area of 418.4 ha.
